Horwich
Horwich is a town located in the borough of Bolton, in the Greater Manchester area of the United Kingdom. It is situated at the foot of the West Pennine Moors, and has a population of around 20,000 people. Historically, Horwich was a small village, but it experienced significant growth during the Industrial Revolution when it became a centre for textile and paper production. Later, it became known for its railway engineering, as the Horwich Works of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway were located there. Today, Horwich has a mix of residential areas and industrial estates, and is home to a number of major employers, including the logistics company Eddie Stobart and the pharmaceutical company Randox. It also has a thriving town centre with a range of shops, restaurants, and other amenities. Horwich is well-connected to other parts of Greater Manchester and the North West, with easy access to the M61 motorway and regular train services to Manchester and other destinations. It is also surrounded by beautiful countryside, with many opportunities for outdoor activities such as walking and cycling.
