About
The team at Ventura Ski all ski/board and offer good, sound, impartial advice. The team does not work on commission and will never knowingly sell an inappropriate product just to make a sale. Chris’ in-depth product knowledge especially on hardware, boot fitting, repairs and all things technical is the best in Lancashire and his reputation reaches far and wide.
All Ventura Ski technicians are all fully trained and certified by reputable ski manufacturers. The workshop is probably one of the best equipped in Lancashire.
Chris loves all aspects of skiing with a passion and he cares deeply about the sport. His special interests lie within coaching alpine ski racing, it is for this reason Ventura Ski stock specialist race equipment, race department factory skis, boots, protection, timing gear, poles, race tuning equipment, waxes etc. Chris has coached national and international teams and during his career has placed many athletes into national squads.
The Ventura team has been further strengthened when Kayleigh (daughter) came on board, her main responsibility being the overseeing of Skikit 4 Racing which is the specialist race products arm of the business.
Kayleigh has ski raced at international level and has in the past represented Great Britain. Since retiring from ski racing she has gained valuable knowledge whilst working with Salomon UK and is currently Salomon’s UK Race Team Manager.
The shop is a member of SIGB – Snowsports Industries of Great Britain and regularly takes part in ski testing both in the alps and on UK snowslopes.
Chris also runs Snowsports Alpine Ski Club predominantly for alpine race training. Further details are available from Snowsportsengland.com.
